Albert R. "Buck" Valandingham, 66, of Wurtland, passed away suddenly Thursday, May 11, 2017, at his home.

Buck was born July 24, 1950, in Grayson, to the late Ollie Kermit and Sybil Irene Gilliam Valandingham.

He is a member of Wurtland Church of God, a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from CSX as a car inspector. Buck loved to hunt, fish, mow his lawn and all outdoor activites.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Johnson Valandingham, who stood by his side since they were married; his wonderful children, Wesley "Wes" Valandingham of Wurtland, Cathleen and husband Phillip Martin of Tip City, Ohio, Alison Valandingham of Greenup and Melanie and husband Scott Clark of Wheelersburg, Ohio; two sisters, Lillie Keeton of Flagler Beach, Fla., and Alyce Kiser of Nicholasville; and his grandchildren, Austin, Brooke, Tyler and Wyatt Martin, Gavin, Jaycee, Alandra and Dawson Valandingham, Raegan Osborn, Jacob and Gabriel Rhoden and Harley Clark.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Wurtland Church of God with Bishop Henry Montgomery and Pastor Timothy French officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup County with military rites by Kenova American Legion post 93.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2017, and after noon Tuesday at the church.
