Greenup - Bertella "Bert" Sue Walker, 91, of Greenup, KY went home to be with the Lord on November 14, 2022.

Mrs. Walker was born December 12, 1930 in Bet, KY, a daughter of the late Chester Riggs and Mary Frances Riggs. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Homer Walker; three sisters and five brothers.

Mrs. Walker was a devout Christian and member of the Wurtland Freewill Baptist Church for forty years. Bertella and Homer were owners of Walker's Market from 1957 to 1992. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Walker is survived by eight children, Paul (Marcia) Walker, Charlie (Donna) Walker, Homer (Melissa) Walker Jr., Roger (Suzann) Walker, Don (Libby) Walker, Annette (Terry) Koerper, Ron (Vivian) Walker and Gayla (Kevin) Davis; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren and special friend Dolores Long.

A funeral service for Mrs. Walker will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday November 17, 2022 at the Wurtland Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor George Cade and Pastor Roy Roach officiating. Burial to follow at the Walker Cemetery in Wurtland, KY.

Friends may visit on Thursday November 17, 2022 from 11:00 am until time of service at the church.
