Greenup, Kentucky - Betty Baker Ramey, 89 of Flatwoods, KY, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Trinity Station Retirement Community. She was born on Hoods Run in Greenup County, KY, on July 31, 1936, a daughter of the late Raymond & Katherine Bush Baker.

Betty attended the Flatwoods Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Morehead State University with a master's degree in education. Betty began teaching in a one room schoolhouse on White Oak in Greenup County and finished her career in teaching at Warnock Elementary, retiring with 30 years of service.

She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband, John Carl Ramey, in 2010, and a sister, Clara Betsy Baker. She has survived by a daughter, Carla Rachel Borchers and her husband Anthony of Orlando, FL; two grandchildren, Chloe Ramey Borchers and Naomi Baker Borchers; a brother, Donald Raymond Baker of Portsmouth, OH, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Betty will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Wright's Funeral Home in Greenup, KY, by Brother Todd Parsley. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Burial Park in Grayson, KY. Visitation will be at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, and one hour before the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Avenue, Ashland, KY, 41101, or the activity budget at Trinity Station Retirement Community, 2121 Argillite Road, Flatwoods, KY, 41139.
