Delores "Kay" Brown Lakin August 10, 1940 - March 21, 2025 (84).
She was a polio survivor, known for her self reliance and determination she was quick-witted and an excellent cook. Preceded in death by her husband Millard Lakin and parents, Dorothy Tanner Kirk and Fred Brown.
Leaving behind her son Robert Lakin, daughter Melissa Lakin Thompson, son-in-law Timothy Thompson, grandchildren Timothy Thompson, II and Benjamin Thompson, as well as her sisters Sharon Patterson and Diane Senters.
Our appreciation goes to her hospice team Amy, Linda, Jamie and Chaplain Todd, her caregivers Missy and Vanessa and those who sent cards, food, gifts and uplifted her during the past year. Contributions in memory of Kay may be made to the Second Free Will Baptist Church of which she was a member.
Arrangements under the direction of Preston Family Funeral Home where you may share condolences and memories. There will be no service.
