Donald  Henry
Donald Lee Henry, 77, of Ashland, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell.
Donald was born April 11, 1942, in Ashland, to the late David Marion and Lula Belle Wells Henry.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, Woodford Henry, Chester Henry, Homer Henry, Jesse Henry and Leonard Henry; and two sisters Bethel Boyd and Dorothy White.
Donald was a retired Millwright at Ak Steel, a Kentucky Colonel, and was a member of Second Free Will Baptist Church. Donald was an avid University of Kentucky Football fan. He was a former season ticket holder for the Wildcats. He was known to have a green thumb and loved gardening and took pride in his lawn. He was a fan of Bluegrass Music and an avid golfer. Above everything Donald loved his wife, children, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years Brenda Preece Henry; one son David Alan Henry (Patty) of Wakeman, Ohio; one daughter, Amy Lynn Allen (John) of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother Earl Henry of Ashland; and one sister, Estelle Riffe of Westwood; four grandchildren, Harrison David Allen, Alyssa Marie Henry; Mallory Lynn Allen, and Valery Grace Henry; along with a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2019, at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood with Pastor Kenneth Harmon and Pastor James Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m., and one hour prior to services on Friday.

Don was a good and honorable man , I Knew Don and Brenda for almost 50 years.. Went to Church, class meetings with him and Brenda and your Precious family. Praying for Brenda and family in these trying hours ahead.. until we meet again.. Love you Brother
