Ashland, KY - Emma Sue "Susie" McKinney, 84, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center.

Susie was born on December 9, 1941, in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late W.R. and Matilda Johnson Frasure. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter McKinney, and her brother, Charles Reed Frasure.

She was a longtime employee of Parsons Department Store and later worked at Camden Park. Susie will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle spirit, and kind smile that brightened the lives of all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her niece, Teresa Jean Frasure Patrick and her husband, Joel, of Ironton, Ohio; her nephew, Timothy Reed Frasure of South Point, Ohio; great nieces and nephews, Jessica Patrick, Seth Patrick, Ryan Frasure, Tyler Frasure and Shanra Frasure; her dear friends, John and Sally Crance of Ashland; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel, with Rev. Scott Hill officiating. A private burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
