Faye Ratcliff Hall Obituary

On October 30, 2021, Faye Ratcliff Hall, age 95, peacefully left her earthly home surrounded by those who loved her dearly. She was instantly greeted by her precious Jesus and loved ones including: her mom and dad Amy (Sloas) and Oscar Ratcliff, sisters Ruby Ratcliff Stewart and Susan Ratcliff Gollihugh, and daughter Donna Hall Hacker.

Faye was born on October 14, 1926, at home, in Ohio Furnace. She graduated from Green High School in 1944, and married Estel Hall in 1946. Faye was a thankful mother of three beautiful girls. She spent much of her life caring for her home, daughters, church, and community. She was a faithful employee as a wartime factory worker, waitress, Tupperware distributor, and church custodian. Her greatest joy came in service to others, whether it be at the election board, Sunday School, or church ladies' group. She organized Ohio Furnace Reunions, cooked at church camps, and in later years, encouraged others through card ministry. Faye possessed the spiritual gift of a kind and welcoming heart, which provided many with a safe haven and an example of God's unconditional and selfless love. As a grandmother, Faye remained a consistent source of love and support. All that is good in her children today, is credited to the days spent with her on the porch. You could never arrive too early, be too hungry, or call too late. All who met Faye, walked away better for it. She greeted her family with love and open arms, always. Her greatest desire was for those loved ones to be with her again in Heaven.

Those to carry on her example of love and compassion include daughters, Sharon Sanders and Jan (Mark) Bishop; son-in-law, Gary Hacker; granddaughter, Amy Pemberton; grandson, Brad (Heidi) Sanders; granddaughter, Rebecca Faye (John) Goodwin; great-granddaughter, Haley Sanders; great-grandsons, Wiley Sanders and Liam Pemberton; and grandson, David E. Sanders.

Services to honor the life of this good and faithful servant, will be held Friday, November 5th at 1:00 pm at Ohio Furnace Baptist Church, 3132 Haverhill Ohio Furnace Road, Ironton, Ohio. Friends and family will be welcomed an hour prior to service at the church, and on Thursday, November 4th from 6:00-8:00 at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 South Sixth Street, Ironton, Ohio 45638. Family members kindly request that facial coverings be worn in enclosed areas. Ministers Mark Bishop and Roger Lavender will be officiating.
