Fred William Brewer, 76, of Kitts Hill, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, in Kings Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky. Fred was born November 28, 1947, in Ashland, Kentucky, a son of Ruth Audrey (Dixon) Brewer of Ashland, Kentucky, and the late "Bud" Johnson Grant Brewer. He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Faye (Ball) Brewer.

Fred attended Fairview High School and graduated from Boyd County High School. Fred proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a machinist for AK Steel, a member of Steel Workers Union in Ashland, where he served as the treasurer, and a member of the Rail City Dulcimer Club. Fred was musically gifted, he could play any instrument and was an excellent carpenter. He deeply loved all of his fur babies. He was a faithful member of Central Christian Church in Ironton.

Those left to cherish his memory along with his wife Glenda, include his children, George (Lynn) Grant Brewer of Watertown, NY, and Teresa (Steve) Lynn Kunze of Louisa, KY; his brother-in-law, Rusty Ball, nieces, LeeAnn Ball and Robin (Kyle) Doyle, grandchildren, Zach Triplett, Jacob (Rebekah) Goldsby, Kimberly (Matthew) Marcinko, Sherry Halladay, Ashley Brewer, Jake Brewer and many great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Bob (Pamm) Brewer of Fairfield, IL, and Schon (Cindy) Brewer of Keeseville, NY.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Monday, January 22, 2024, at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South 7th Street, Ironton, Ohio with Pastor Willie Purdee officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery with military gravesite rites provided by the VFW Post #8850.
