Ashland, KY - Gregory Allen Carney, 67, of Ashland, passed away on Tuesday evening, November 25, 2025.

Greg was born May 21, 1958, in Ashland, KY, to Judith Gillian Lynch of Ashland, KY, and the late James Leland Carney.

In addition to his father, Greg was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Lynn Lynch Taylor.

Greg was a retired technician with Xerox Corporation. He enjoyed watching sports, especially UK Basketball and UK Football. His adventurous spirit led him to scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef, and he loved water activities like boating and water skiing, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Left to mourn his passing are his mother, Judy Lynch of Ashland, KY; his brother, Jay Carney of Georgetown, KY; a special brother-in-law, Paul Taylor of Ona, WV; several extended family members; and a close circle of friends. Their love and memories highlight the importance of family bonds.

Abiding by Greg's wishes, there will be no services at this time, but family and friends are encouraged to remember him in their own special ways. Contributions in Greg's memory may be made to your favorite charity. Caniff Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling arrangements.
