Kenneth Earl White


Kenneth Earl White, 90 of Catlettsburg, Ky., passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Community Hospice Care Center.
Mr. White was born April 6, 1929 in Catlettsburg, a son of the late Lawrence Oakley and Sophie Burns White.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Carl Kenton, Kendall Ray, Robert White and sister, Betty Hunley.
Kenneth was a graduate of Boyd County High School and Ashland Vocational School. He served his country honorably during the Korean War in the U.S. Army, and retired in 1986 from National Mines as a machinist. Kenneth was an outdoorsman who enjoyed metal detecting, fishing, hunting and gardening. He was a member of Grassland United Methodist Church.
Kenneth is survived by brother, Lawrence (Sharon) White of Catlettsburg; sisters, Virginia Knudson of Hankinson, N.D., Linda (Larry) Hill of Grove City, Ohio, Polly (Bill) Hazel of Catlettsburg, Ky.; and sister-in-law, Nancy White of Catlettsburg. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service to honor Mr. White will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday August 13, 2019 at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home, 2702 Panola Street, Catlettsburg. Pastor Pastor Brandon Depriest will officiate. Final resting place in Fannin Cemetery, Bear Creek, Catlettsburg with Military Honors by the U.S. Army and Post 93.
Visiting hours are 6 until 8 p.m. Monday evening at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave, Ashland, KY 41101.

Remembering Kenneth as a family friend though out most of my life. My condolences to Lawrence, Ginny, Sue, Polly and the rest of the family.
