Nicholasville, KY - Nicholasville, KY - Leann Glancy Poff, 81, of Nicholasville, KY, formerly of Ashland, KY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Born August 24, 1943, in Ashland, she was the daughter of Leander (Lee) Cox Glancy and Elsie Marie Glancy.

Leann is survived by her sons, Jason and Anthony Poff, and grandchildren, Sydnei Reed, Cameron Poff, Anna Poff, and Jay Poff. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Arnold Glancy, and sister, Brenda Gail Stamp.

A 1961 graduate of Ashland High School, Leann earned an associate degree from Ashland Business College. She worked at the Daily Independent from 1961 to 1993, playing a key role in the newspaper's transition from hot type to cold type printing.

Leann cherished supporting her children's activities, earning the affectionate title "Momma Poff" as a chaperone for the Russell High School Marching Band. She also served as Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack 165 in Flatwoods, KY. Alongside her mother, Elsie, she was an active member of the Ashland Women's Club.

Leann's kindness, humor, and unwavering love touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Ashland, KY.
