Malcome Lewis Kirk, 85, of Wurtland, Ky went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2023 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Mr. Kirk was born July 12, 1938 in Danleyton, Ky. He is a son of the late Harry Kirk and Poppie Frasure Kirk. He is preceded in death by one sister; Stella Mae Kirk, and one brother; Owen Kirk. Malcome retired from CSX and the Laborer's International Union of North America (LIUNA). During his retirement, he stayed busy rebuilding and working on old trucks, golf carts, and trackers. There wasn't much that Malcome wasn't able to fix or get running again. Malcome enjoyed good bluegrass music and square dancing. He was an avid squirrel hunter and loved hunting with his dog Annie. His dog Annie passed away shortly before him on Friday, July 21st. In his spare time, Malcome could often be found at Greenup McDonalds and The Hillbilly Flea Market, enjoying a good cup of coffee and being in the company of his good friends. Those left to cherish his memories are his best friend, whom he loved dearly, Loretta Mullins, his sister-in-law, who always took care of him, Wilhelmina Kirk. Nieces Peggy (Mike) Charles, Barb (Jimmy) Morris, great nieces Anna (Aaron) Easterling, Ralene (Aaron) Wynn, Janie (Gene) Cotton, great nephew Lukas (Samantha) Morris Great-great nieces Payton, Braelyn, and Aamina, great great nephews Isaiah, Will, Sam, and Jay. Funeral services for Malcome Kirk will be Saturday July 29, 2023 beginning at 11:30 am at the Evans Funeral Home in Raceland with Chaplain Jim Smedley officiating. Burial to follow at the Sexton Cemetery in Danleyton, Ky. Visitation will be held from 10:30am until time of service at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Evans Funeral Home.
