Ashland, KY - Martha Ellen Melvin (Reynolds), 74 of Flatwoods, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at UK King's Daughters in Ashland, Kentucky. She was born June 26, 1951, in Ashland, to the late Owen William Reynolds and Patricia McIntyre.

Martha dedicated her career to caring for others, serving with compassion and commitment throughout her years as an LPN before retiring from Brighton Gardens. Her Kindness and steady presence touched the lives of countless patients, coworkers, and friends.

Outside of her work, Martha found joy in the simple things in life; spending time with her family, collecting and decorating her home with chickens, and shopping online or by phone with frequent visits from package delivery services.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, care, and laughter that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Gregory Allen Melvin.

One son, Ovie (Ray) Raymond Miller Jr. of Flatwoods, one daughter Stephanie Renee McKinney and her husband Kenny, one brother Nickolas (Nick) Reynolds of Huntington, West Virginia, one sister Patty Frazier of Independence, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Jeneca Lynn Miller, Cameron Ray Miller, Jason Owen Prescott, Kenneth Ray Miller, and Bradley McCrae Conley Miller, and six great-grandchildren. Also, several other relatives and friends.

The family will receive guests at the home of Martha and Gregory on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, to celebrate the life and legacy of Martha.
