Ashland, Kentucky - Haldor "Marty" Torgrimson, 65, of Ashland, KY passed away Monday, November 24, 2025 at King's Daughters Medical Center. He was born December 10, 1959 in Lima, Peru to his late parents; Phillip and Mary Gunnoe Torgrimson. He is survived by his loving wife; Mae Deane Torgrimson, whom he married November 11, 1999.

Marty received his degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and was a financial advisor with Raymond Jones. He was also a member of Bridges Christian Church in Russell, KY. Marty was best known for his time on the soccer pitch whether playing, officiating or coaching. He loved the game, he impacted many lives and made many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister; Phyllis Webb and brother-in-law; Tom Webb.

Survivors include his children; Caitlin Viera of Flatwoods, KY, Taylor (Kyle) Skaggs of Lexington, KY, Tanner (Shandi Hern) Locey of Russell, KY, his grandchildren; Claire Viera of Flatwoods, KY, Aaliyah Walker of Flatwoods, KY, his brothers; Bob Torgrimson of Ashland, KY and Pete Torgrimson of Hutchinson, KS.

Visitation will be from 2:00pm-5:00pm Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. 7th St. Ironton, OH. Funeral service will follow at 5:00pm, Saturday, November 29, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor John McKinney officiating.
