Mary Elizabeth (Thomas) Grubb, 67, of Ironton, Ohio, passed away on March 4, 2020, at her residence.

She was born November 3, 1952, the daughter of the late John and Sarah Hensley Thomas.

Mary attended Boyd County Schools and was an assistant cook for the Lawrence County CAO Senior Center. She enjoyed cooking, reading, listening to music and taking nature walks, but her two favorite loves in life were spending time with her grandchildren and cheering on her UK Wildcats.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a step-son, William Dickerson Jr.; sister, Charlotte Rister; two brothers, John Jeffery Thomas and Darrell Glen Thomas.

Those left to cherish Mary's memory are a fiancé, George Bundy of Ironton, Ohio; daughter, Donna (Krystal) Chadwick of South Point, Ohio; a grandson, Steven Payne of Wichita, Kan.; a granddaughter, Brytni Shotsky of South Point, Ohio; seven brothers and sisters; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2020, at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 South 6th Street, Ironton, OH 45638. Family will receive friends 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
