Ralph Edward Butler
Pastor Ralph Edward Butler, 83, of Cold Spring, Ky., formerly of Blaine, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday November 30, 2019, at the Highlandspring of Fort Thomas Healthcare Center.
Ralph was born March 31, 1936, in Cherokee, Ky., a son of the late Vernor Butler and Bess Griffith Hay.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by two sisters, Lola Jean Caudill and Donna Brialy.
Ralph gave his life to Jesus at 25 years old. Ralph graduated from Tri-State Bible College and attended Liberty University. Ralph first pastored at Cherokee Freewill Baptist Church, and afterwards pastored many churches in Ohio and Indiana.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Shelby Jean Fyffe Butler; two daughters, Sandy Butler of Cold Spring, Ky., and Diana (Scott) Peterson of Troy, Va.; two grandsons, Andrew Peterson and Austin Peterson; two sisters, Phyllis Colleen (Jim) May of Fort Gay, W.Va., and Joann (Tim) Stumbo of Grayson; and several friends and extended family who all mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the Cherokee Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. David Boggs and Bro. Jesse Fyffe officiating. Burial will follow in the Maranatha Bible Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Wednesday until the service hour at the church.

Pastor Butler baptized my entire family many years ago, it was with him I came to the lord. Loved him and his family and think of him often. Heaven gained an angel.
