Flatwoods, KY - Randy "Red" Ray Anderson, 71, of Flatwoods, KY, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Community Hospice in Ashland surrounded by his family.

Randy was born January 23, 1954, in Ironton, OH, a son of the late Ward Anderson and Geneva Adkins Anderson. He was a member of the First Baptist Church Russell. Red had a knack for turning strangers into friends, always welcoming everyone with warmth and kindness. He thrived on hard work, taking on every challenge with determination and never backing down from a task. No job was too big or too small—he faced them all with confidence and skill.

Randy is survived by his wife, Sandy Miller Anderson; two daughters, Mashawna (Tim) Hamilton and Sara Anderson; one son, Bryan (Vania) Carr; one brother, Hoby (Traci Adair) Anderson; six grandchildren, Elijah Hamilton, Emma (Derek) Morris, Malakai Anderson, Elise Carr, Tatem Anderson, Micah Anderson and one honorary granddaughter, Lexi Tygart; two great grandchildren, Calliope Rae Morris, Carabelle Lynn Morris and several nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 1pm at First Baptist Church Russell (901 Ashland Dr., Russell, Kentucky 41169) with Pastor Ken Gowin officiating. Friends may visit from noon until time of the service Thursday at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Evans Funeral Home.
