Worthington - Raymond McCulley passed away on January 29 at 9:27 pm, surrounded by his wife and children.

Raymond was born in Allegheny County, Virginia on October 29, 1946 to James and Gertrude McCulley. He graduated from Raceland High School. He was part of the Ram football team, and later was inducted into the Raceland Ram Hall of Fame. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam war. Raymond worked at Verizon as a phone technician and after he retired, he worked as a phone contractor for Kings Daughter Medical Center.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Nancy McCulley; daughter, Lynn (Shanna) McCulley and their daughter Kara; daughter, Stephanie (Aaron) Mitchel and their son, Hunter; daughter, Angie McDaniel and her children, Ashlyn, Colyn, Evie, Addie & Nolyn; son, Ray (Sarah) McCulley and their son JD. He is survived by his sister Helen Shumate and brother Don McCulley; and a host of other relatives and close friends who loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marie, and brothers, Richard, Phillip, and Billy McCulley.

Raymond led a full and rich life in which he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and cheering on his favorite sports teams- the Raceland Rams, and the Kentucky Wildcats. His family was always at the center of his heart. Supporting his wife, Nancy, their children and grandchildren in all their endeavors. He was everyone's biggest cheerleader. He loved country music, westerns, and was quite a foodie particular. He was a man of few words, but spoke with intention and touched the hearts of all he encountered.

A funeral service for Raymond will be held Friday, February 2 at the Evans Funeral Home in Raceland. The visitation will begin at 10:30am , funeral will start at 11:00am. Burial to follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast at 1:00am.
