Robert Daniel "Dan" Howell, 81 of Worthington, KY went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 24, 2022. Mr. Howell was born August 11, 1941 in Worthington, KY, a son of the late Roy Edgar Howell and Sallie Gearheart Howell. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Hilton and Helen McCroskey and two brothers, Johnny Howell and Roy Howell.

Dan was a longtime member of Bridges Christian Church in Russell and was a retired engineering manager with AK Steel. Dan proudly served on the Board of Directors for the Appalachian Foothills Housing Agency and was an active volunteer with the Meals on Wheels program. He was an avid golfer who thoroughly enjoyed staying active in the community and spending time and vacationing with his family.

Mr. Howell is survived by his loving wife, Sharlene Conley Howell; his three sons, Robert Daniel (Heather Christine) Howell II, Charles Randall "Randy" (Lea Ann) Howell and Ryan Patrick (Tracie Elizabeth) Howell; two sisters, Freda Miller and Mildred Ewald; five grandchildren, Madison Howell, Brady Howell, Alex Howell, Adam Howell and Layla Howell and one great-grandchild, Kayden Howell.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2pm at Bridges Christian Church in Russell, KY with Pastor Tom Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from noon until time of service at the church on Saturday.
