Grayson, KY - Ronald L. Burton, age 84, of Grayson, Kentucky, peacefully departed this life on Monday, September 1, 2025, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 24, 1940, in Grayson, he was the cherished son of the late Reid and Ebbie Johnson Burton.

Ronald dedicated many years of his life to his work at Armco Steel, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. His faith was a cornerstone of his life; as a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Grayson, he served as a Deacon for many years, providing guidance and support to his church community.

A proud veteran, Ron served in the Kentucky National Guard, embodying the values of service and dedication. He had a passion for life that extended beyond his work and faith; he cherished the winters spent in Florida, where he formed lasting friendships and enjoyed the warmth of the sun. An avid birdwatcher, he found joy in the simple beauty of nature, often sharing his love for birds with family and friends.

Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved son, Aaron Burton; his grandson, Hunter Ronald Burton; his sister, Wilma Jean (Clyde) Johnson; and his brother, Raymond Burton. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his wife of 66 years, Karen Collins Burton; his son, Ryan (Michelle) Burton; his daughter, Rachel (Chris) Lynd, all of Grayson; his sister-in-law, Clarice Burton; as well as eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the First Baptist Church, with ministers Joed Rice, Rio Taylor, and Josh Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow at East Carter County Memory Gardens. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Grayson.
