Samuel Erman Morrison Jr., 86, of South Shore, Ky., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at his home.

Mr. Morrison was born October 27, 1934, in Prestonsburg, Ky., a son of the late Samuel Erman Morrison Sr. and Dorothy Cornett Morrison.

He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Grimmett and Carol Belcher; one brother, Terry Morrison; one stepdaughter, Melissa Nance; and one grandson, Robert Robinson.

Mr. Morrison is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine Maust Morrison; his eight children / step children, Derrick (Lisa) Morrison, Wesley (Emily) Morrison, Jay (Ursula) Nance, Sandy (Gary) Lane, Pamela (Tim) Travis, Amanda (Kevin) Ferguson, Sherry (Scott) Wilburn, Kathy (Jeremy) Akers; fifteen grandchildren, Trey, Chris, Justin, Samantha, Chase, Tiffanie, Josh, Jerett, Marissa, Jessica, Jamie, Jeffery, Jacob, Abby, and Cassidy; and six great grandchildren, Keely, Jack, Will, Hattie, Kaelyn, and Kinley; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sam was a lifelong Eagles member, loved being outdoors, and was well loved and respected by many.

In honor of Samuel Morrison Jr., a celebration of life will be held by his family on Saturday, May 8, 2021, from 5 to 8p.m. at Wildwood Baptist Church, located at 3414 Charles St, Ashland, KY 41102.
