Sylvia Mae Triplett McDermott


Sylvia Mae Triplett McDermott, 92, of Greenup, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 at her home.
Mrs. McDermott was born December 9, 1926, in Greenup, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Johnny and Rebecca Poplin Triplett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles J. McDermott; five sisters Mary Margaret Traylor, Dorothy Osborne, Rhebie Gullett, Gracie Brown, and Stella Slaughter; three brothers Ellis Triplett, James Triplett, and Robert Triplett; one son in law, John Krolikowski; and one brother in law Clarence McDermott.
She is survived by two sons Brian McDermott and (Kevin) Lineback of Seattle, Washington and Dennis McDermott of Knoxville, Tennessee; one daughter Sandra Krolikowski of Pensacola, Florida; two brothers Troy Triplett of Lloyd, Kentucky and Carl Triplett of Oldtown, Kentucky; one sister
Molly Harris of Worthington, Kentucky; one sister-in-law
Mary Ellen Burich of Springhill, Florida; two granddaughters
Diedra (David) Hunter and Danastalgia McDermott; several nieces, nephews and other family members who will miss her dearly.
Funeral service will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Thursday September 12, 2019 at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup, Kentucky by Chaplin Betsy Cole. Burial will be in Kirby Flatts Cemetery in Ashland, Kentucky.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, and one hour before the service on Thursday. Condolences may be made at
