Russell, KY - Thomas "Tom" Ray Timberlake, 75, of Russell, Kentucky passed away Friday, January 2, 2025, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice Center in Portsmouth Ohio.

Tom was born July 19, 1950, in South Shore, Kentucky to the late Clarence & Ruby (Cremeans) Timberlake. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Debra "Deb" (Tackett) Timberlake and one son Brad Roland Timberlake.

Tom is survived by one son Derek Ray Timberlake, two grandchildren Aden and Harper, one daughter-in-law Tonya Abrams, one bonus child Sarah Smallwood, and a host of other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Tom loved writing, playing, and singing bluegrass music, which he did constantly. Bluegrass was his peace in life bringing him great joy, and happiness. His dedication to bluegrass took him all the way to Nashville, Tennessee where he would play several times on the stage at the Grand Ole Opry.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Carman Funeral Home with Brother Jason Bingham officiating.
