William E. "Bill Buck" Waggoner Obituary

William E. "Bill Buck" Waggoner, 84, of Grayson, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Community Hospice in Ashland, after a battle of 28 months with cancer. Bill was of the Baptist faith. He was born July 3, 1930 in Grayson, a son of the late Oliver Clifford "Chip" and Cassie Clarice Buck Waggoner. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two grandchildren Sasha Rae Brown and Derek Lee Brown; two sisters: Dorothy Rae Womack and Barbara Ann Pope. He is survived by one daughter Cheri (Tracy) Brown, Grayson; one brother Larry (Deloris)Waggoner of Russell; one brother-in-law Jim Womack of Grayson. Bill will be greatly missed by his loving family of 26 years, Janie Damron, Debra Brown, Jamie Damron, Lynn Felty, Rita Kinner, and Angela Woods and their family members. Bill was a 63 year member of the Trimble #145 F & AM in Grayson and the El Hasa Shrine where he was an very active participant in the A-Team providing transportation to children who were patients of the Shriner's Hopsital, El Hasa Mortor Corps, Indra Consistry 32nd, Past Director and lifetime member of Royal Order of Jesters Court 172, and the Kachina Klub of Ashland, and he was a 44 year member of the Elks B.P.O.E. Lodge #350 of Ashland. Bill was also a Kentucky Colonel and Kentucky Admiral. Serving as pallbearers will be; Jeremy Brown, Seth Brown, David Brown, Christopher Brown, Grant Clay, Kirt Inscho, Tyler Kinner, and Channing Richardson. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 12, 2014 at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson by Brother Gary Sparks. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens, Grayson. Friends may call from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Thursday, September 11. Masonic and Scottish Rite services will be at 8:00p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Community Hospice, 2330 Pollard Road, Ashland, KY 41101 or A-Team Transportation Fund, El Hasa Shrine, P.O. Box 5190, Ashland, KY 41101.
