William Davidson (Scott) Obituary

William "Scott" Davidson, 79, of Raceland, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.

Mr. Davidson was born on May 27, 1941, in Ironton, Ohio, a son of the late William Ernest Davidson and Louise Davidson Smith.

He is also preceded in death by his son, Shane Davidson.

Mr. Davidson graduated from Morehead State University with a Bachelor's Degree in science. While at Morehead he earned the title Williamson All American for football and was also in the Football Hall of Fame at Raceland High School. Mr. Davidson had many jobs such as teacher and football coach at Rock Hill and Fairview, building homes and pools and owning his own sawmill and storage facility.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Krause Davidson; his sisters, Bonnie Shapland of Fitchburg, Mass., and Diane Greene of Olive Hill, Ky.; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; his caregivers, Melody Robinson and Jill Cook; as well as his special friends and neighbors.

A funeral service for William "Scott" Davidson will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland with his friends and family officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell, Ky. The visitation will begin at 11 am on Saturday at the funeral home.

Due to current regulations, masks are required for all guests and social distancing is highly recommended.
