Ashland, Kentucky - Bill Pennington, 70, of Ashland, Kentucky, husband of Theresa Payne Pennington, died Wednesday evening, September 10, 2025 at King's Daughters Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Bill was born November 4, 1954 in Ashland, Kentucky, a son of the late Richard E. Pennington and Alida Hager Pennington. Bill was a member of 13th Street Baptist Church and was president of the former Pennco Corporation.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, include 2 sons; Alden Pennington, and wife Julia, of Lexington, Kentucky, and Shane Pennington of Georgetown, Kentucky. A daughter; Caitlin Pennington (Quinton Braggs) of Lexington, Kentucky. A brother; Rusty Pennington of Florida. 2 sisters; Brenda Pennington of Texas, and Pam Simmons of Florida. Mother in law; Phyllis Payne of Ashland, Kentucky, and 5 grandchildren; Ella Pennington, Gavin Cedergren, Luke Pennington, Abby Cedergren, and Hank Pennington.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 15th at 1:00 PM at 13th Street Baptist Church by Pastor Jim Byrd. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation is Monday at the church from 11:00 AM until service time.
